Our Promise

Alicia Hoffman, CPA

I’m an Austin native through and through. I left briefly to attend Texas A&M (Whoop!) and came right back. This is my community, and the businesses here are my people.

I earned my CPA in 1996 and spent 20 years in corporate finance, mostly at Dell. That experience taught me how big companies manage their money: the systems, the controls, the discipline. When I started AliCat Solutions in 2013, I brought that same rigor to small businesses. You get Fortune 500 financial practices without the Fortune 500 price tag.

But here’s what I learned in corporate that I do differently now: I actually talk to my clients. I explain things in plain English. I answer my phone. After 20 years of bureaucracy, I built a practice around relationships, not red tape.

I also run Whiz Biz Kids, a program that teaches young people real-world financial skills. If I can explain profit margins to a 10-year-old, I can definitely help you understand your financials. No jargon. No judgment. Just clear answers.

When I’m not working, you’ll find me cheering on the Aggies, watching movies with my two daughters, or biking to the office on a nice day. (Yes, actually biking. It’s good for the soul and the commute.)

What working with me looks like

You’ll get your monthly financials by the 15th. That’s not a goal, that’s a guarantee.
When you email me, I’ll respond within a business day. Your questions matter.
I’ll tell you what I see in your numbers, not just hand you a report. You’ll understand your business better.
If something’s off, I’ll flag it. I’m not here to just record history. I’m here to help you make better decisions.
